Johna Stephens, MS Ed, has a Master’s counseling, a license to treat drug and alcohol issues as well as being a DOT Qualified SAP. She uses a client-centered, holistic approach and believes that the client already has the answers to challenges and problems. She believes that her job as the therapist is to support the client in discovering those answers. She has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field working with anxiety and depression. She has ten years working with co-occurring disorders (substance abuse and mental health disorders), conducting evaluations, and providing treatment. She also has two and a half years of experience working with Employee Assistance and is a DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Provider.

Johna provides an open and safe environment for people to work on a variety of issues like, anxiety and depression, substance use disorders, trauma, relationships, and gender and sexuality.

Johna Stephens, MS Ed, brings more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field to her work at Into Balance. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, with a master’s degree in counseling. She is also a DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professional, adding specialized experience in substance use evaluations and related services.

Johna takes a client-centered, holistic approach to therapy. She believes that clients already possess answers to many of the challenges they face, and she views her role as supporting them as they discover those answers. Her professional experience includes more than 15 years working with anxiety and depression, along with 10 years working with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Her experience also includes conducting evaluations and providing treatment for co-occurring concerns, as well as two and a half years working with Employee Assistance. She provides an open and safe environment for clients addressing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, relationships, and gender and sexuality.
