Amanda Austin-Mafilika, MA, is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the State of Nebraska. She graduated from Doane University with a Master of Arts in Counseling degree.

Amanda’s therapy style is warm, engaging and compassionate. Her theoretical orientation is humanistic in it’s approach, with techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. She is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), through EMDRIA.

Her humanistic approach incorporates techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, allowing her to draw from established therapeutic methods while keeping the individual client at the center of care. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing through EMDRIA.
